Overview
After entering the league in 2013 as a Taipan, Shaun Bruce has returned to the Far North with three NBL championships to his name and nearly 400 games of experience.
Spending four seasons developing in the tropics and helping Cairns to their most recent Championship Series appearance, the experienced guard spent time in Brisbane and Adelaide before touching down in Sydney.
Initially signing as a King in 2019, key performances off the bench saw the club (then under the leadership of Adam Forde) retain Bruce, with Sydney going on to finish the season no lower than fifth during his seven-season tenure.
Reaching 219 games for the Kings (second most in history), the guard set the record for most wins for the franchise (136 wins) while on the way to contributing the fourth most assists for Sydney (524 assists), the third best all-time plus-minus (+411 points), and the ninth most three-pointers for the club (199 made triples).
The former-Kings captain and former-Marlin has spent his off-season with the Logan Thunder in the NBL1 before his return to Cairns.
