Kenfrost Homes Cairns Taipans point guard Taran Armstrong has been ruled out for the next two weeks, due to a high-grade tear.
Armstrong rolled his ankle in the warmups against Melbourne United on 6 October but continued to play. Further scans since that game have revealed the tear to his ankle ligament and bone bruising.
He is expected to return in Round 7 and will join Tanner Groves (calf) on the sidelines, who is due to return next week.
Nominated injury replacement Tad Dufelemeier remains in the Taipans line-up for Armstrong.
