The Cairns Convention Centre has advised the Hungry Jack’s NBL and the Kenfrost Homes Cairns Taipans that its Emergency Response Plan has been enacted, and the building must close tomorrow under the current warnings associated with Tropical Low 12U.
Following consultation with local authorities, and with the safety of all participants and the wider community paramount, the decision was made to postpone the Cairns vs Brisbane Round 16 fixture. The NBL is reviewing scheduling options for the game and the Club will provide an update to members, fans and sponsors as soon as possible.
The Taipans apologise for any incovenience and all tickets will be valid for the rescheduled game.
