The Hungry Jack’s NBL will again ring in the New Year in style with a blockbuster slate of games scheduled for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
The Illawarra Hawks and Cairns Taipans will continue their traditional hostings on New Year’s Eve, while New Year’s Day basketball will head to Tasmania.
The Hawks, now headlined by 18-year-old prodigy Next Star signing, AJ Johnson, will host an Adelaide 36ers squad looking to bounce back from a disappointing season. Tip-off at the WIN Entertainment Centre will be 5:30pm AEDT on New Year’s Eve.
Tahjere McCall and the Taipans will then welcome Melbourne United to town, who have been bolstered by the return of 2022 NBL MVP Finalist, Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. Tip-off at the Cairns Convention Centre will be 7:30pm AEDT on New Year’s Eve.
In the first game of 2024, Scott Roth’s Tasmania JackJumpers will welcome Mody Maor’s New Zealand Breakers to town in a re-match of last season’s thrilling Playoff series. Tip-off at MyState Bank Arena will be 4:00pm AEDT on New Year’s Day.
The full 2023/24 Hungry Jack’s NBL season schedule will be released on Thursday, April 20.
