2025 Taipans Pre-season Schedule

The Kenfrost Homes Cairns Taipans are pleased to provide their 2025 pre-season schedule, which includes their first warm-up game in Cairns since 2021.

In addition to their two fixtures at the 2025 NBL Blitz in Canberra, the Taipans head to Melbourne this week to face the Phoenix and United. The match-up against South East will be at the State Basketball Centre on Tuesday 19 August while Melbourne will take their pre-season to Casey Basketball Stadium on Thursday 21 August. Both games will tip-off at 6:30pm. 

Returning home for the weekend, the Taipans will then host their interstate rivals on Sunday 24 August at Trinity Ford Stadium for their first home pre-season clash at the venue since 2019 – also against Brisbane.

Led by Tad Dufelmeier and George Blagojevic in their first seasons in Cairns, the Taipans swept the Bullets 2-0 in the series with a line-up that would work their way to the semi-finals.
