CQUni Taipans Welcome Scottie Wilbekin

Highlights of CQUniversity Cairns Taipans signing, University of Florida star point guard Scottie Wilbekin.
The 188-centimetre point guard finished his senior year with the Gators as Southeastern Conference (SEC) Player of the Year, earning his place alongside previous winners Pete Maravich (1968-70), Charles Barkley (1984) and Shaquille O’Neal (1991, 1992).
He averaged 13.1 points, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game in 2013-14, while converting on 39.0% from long range as his Gators went undefeated (18-0) in one of the toughest conferences in college basketball.
