Lachlan Barker

Joining the Taipans as a Nominated Replacement Player for the 2025/26 season, Barker makes the move to Cairns after spending time with four other NBL clubs.

Previously also playing for Tasmania, Melbourne, South East, and initially with Sydney, the guard joined Taipans Head Coach Adam Forde in Singapore for the 2025 3x3 Asia Cup, with the side winning gold.

Impressing Forde at the competition, he joined Cairns during their pre-season before signing as a Nominated Replacement Player.

The Tasmanian has also been a staple of the NBL1, with Barker representing Frankston until 2025 before he returned home to play for the North West Tasmania Thunder.
