Tonight’s home game for the CQUniversity Cairns Taipans will be another example of the club’s strong relationships and impact throughout Far North Queensland, with long-time sponsor Trinity Auto Group utilising their sponsored game night to highlight an important Cairns-based charity.
Trinity Auto Group’s fantastic company initiative is in response to the region’s recovery over a difficult past 12 months, and they will be presenting COUCH (Cairns Organisation United for Cancer Health) with a cheque for $15,500 to assist in the ongoing wonderful work the organisation continues to deliver.
“COUCH has been a great local initiative designed to provide better health facilities for the people of Cairns and surrounds, during the most challenging of times for both patients and their families,” said Richard Jaska, Dealer Principle at Trinity Auto Group.
“We wanted to assist where we could so have made a small donation from each vehicle sold over the past year and will be delighted to deliver this to the COUCH organisation to assist them in continuing their fantastic work.
“The support of local sport and charities is at the core of the Trinity Auto Group philosophy as we strive to be an integral part of the community here. Let’s hope the Taipans boys can make it a perfect night with a great win.”
The Trinity Auto Group represent 13 vehicle manufacturers and have used car sites across two locations here in Cairns.
Cairns Organisation United for Cancer Health - better known as COUCH - is a community-focused charity with a mission to improve health care services for Cairns and Far North Queensland residents diagnosed with cancer.
