Taipans to host Wildcats on NYE

The CQUniversity Cairns Taipans New Year's Eve game will go ahead, the NBL has confirmed today.
However, the opponent will change from the New Zealand Breakers to the Perth Wildcats on Friday 31 December. Tip-off remains 7:00pm AEST at the Cairns Convention Centre. Click HERE for tickets.
The NBL continues to follow the advice of governments and health authorities and has made the change in line with its Covid health and safety protocols.
Regular testing of all players and staff will continue, while further testing will be carried out on individuals impacted or those deemed close contacts.
