The CQUniversity Cairns Taipans apologise for the technical difficulties experienced during the game on 7 December, due to a power surge to the Cairns Convention Centre.
The unexpected outage caused issues to multiple operating systems, which included the shot clock, with Cairns Convention Centre staff attempting to rectify the problems as quickly as possible.
The club would like to thank all the players, coaches and officials for their patience and appreciate their commitment to finish the game under difficult circumstances, in the spirit of the competition.
The club would also like to thank the loyal Orange Army fan base and corporate partners for their unwavering support to the end.
The league will conduct a full review of its game day operations and processes, and communicate the results once it is complete.
The Taipans will continue to work with the Cairns Convention Centre and NBL to identify and resolve any outstanding issues ahead of the next home game on 15 December, against the New Zealand Breakers.
