CQUniversity Cairns Taipans guard Patrick Miller will not return this weekend, as he continues to recover from the back injury sustained on October 28.
Miller is looking likely for the Perth game on Thursday but will replaced by development player Alex Mudronja tomorrow.
Taipans next star Bobi Klintman will also miss the game against the Hawks, with a hip complaint. He is expected to suit up in Round 8.
Meanwhile, forward Lachlan Anderson (back) returns to the active roster.
The Taipans host the Illawarra Hawks at the Cairns Convention Centre on Saturday, 4:30pm
