Taipans Injury Update: Round 1
CQUniversity Cairns Taipans guards Bul Kuol (wrist) and Patrick Miller (hamstring) will return to the active roster for the team’s first game of the season, hosted by the New Zealand Breakers.
However, the Taipans will be without Taran Armstrong, Josh Roberts and Tahjere McCall.
Armstrong was diagnosed with foot sprain at practice this morning and will be rested tomorrow.
Roberts sustained an ankle sprain at the NBL Blitz and will miss Round 1.
He is expected to return Saturday 7 October, against the Brisbane Bullets.
McCall will not be available until Round 6, as he continues to recover from his hip injury.
He will be replaced by Taipans development player Alex Mudronja in the line-up.
Meanwhile, development player Kian Dennis dislocated his shoulder in practice earlier this week. He will be available to return to play from Thursday 26 October.
The Taipans begin their 2023-24 NBL campaign tomorrow in New Zealand, at Spark Arena. Watch LIVE on ESPN at 5:30pm AEST.
