The Kenfrost Homes Cairns Taipans have been dealt another setback, with point guard Kyle Adnam ruled out after hyperextending his knee at training.
After recently celebrating his 250th NBL game, the 31-year old playmaker will miss this weekend’s double header, but is expected to return for the Round 10 home fixture.
Queensland guard Kian Dennis will suit up as his injury replacement.
Kody Stattmann (hamstring) and Reyne Smith (foot) remain sidelined and will miss both games. Sam Waardenburg (ankle) is still likely to return mid-December while Alex Higgins-Titsha (wrist) has been ruled out for the season.
The Taipans are currently running with three injury replacements and two development players in their active roster.
