The 23-year-old sustained a low-grade spinal compression fracture in Brisbane, with an expected recovery period of approximately eight weeks. He is due to return on 23 December, with development player Luca Yates to replace him in the meantime.

The Taipans host the Hawks tomorrow at the Cairns Convention Centre, 6:30pm AEST. Watch live on ESPN.
