The CQUniversity Cairns Taipans will complete their 2021-22 NBL campaign with the unfortunate record of not fielding a full roster in any game this year, with star point guard Scott Machado officially ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Machado injured himself last Friday in the third quarter against Tasmania. Scans have since revealed a left high-grade ATFL injury.
Import Stephen Zimmerman (knee) will also not make the Round 20 road trip.
Meanwhile, after being sidelined for 19 games across the season, guard Mirko Djeric will finally return this round.
He will fly straight to Melbourne for the game at John Cain Arena on Easter Monday.
The Taipans will then return home for a double-header to complete their season at the Cairns Convention Centre next week. Click HERE for tickets.
