Taipans Games after 17 December

From Friday 17 December 2021 under Queensland State Government direction, people will be required to show proof of their COVID-19 vaccination status when they check into many locations and businesses that will be restricted to fully vaccinated visitors – including the Cairns Convention Centre and Taipans home games.

Patrons who are 16 years or over must carry proof of their vaccination status and be prepared to show this upon request to enter the Cairns Convention Centre.

There are 3 different types of proof available that you can get for free:

• a COVID-19 digital certificate
• your immunisation history statement (IHS)
• an International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate for overseas travel.

The COVID-19 vaccination certificate can be viewed or printed through:

• Medicare Online via MyGov
• Express Plus Medicare mobile app
• My Health Record

Further reminders re: Cairns Convention Centre:

• The Cairns Convention Centre is now CASHLESS – please bring debit or credit cards as Apple Pay cannot be used at many locations in the venue.
• Entry is via the ramp off Hartley Street only, and single-game tickets can now only be purchased online (not at the box office) here.
• The official post-game function is at the Reef Hotel Casino. Players and coaches will be in attendance and everyone 18+ is invited (members and general public) after each home game.
