The long-awaited CQUniversity Cairns Taipans 2022-23 schedule has been revealed, with the upcoming NBL season set to begin in nine weeks, starting October 1.
Under second-year Taipans Head Coach Adam Forde, the new-look team will begin their NBL campaign on the road, visiting the Tasmania Jackjumpers on Monday 3 October in Round 1.
Round 2 features the first double-header, where the Taipans will face the Phoenix in Melbourne before the first game of the season at the Cairns Convention Centre.
The Taipansβ home opener will tip-off at 6:30pm against the Perth Wildcats, on Monday 10 October.
The Taipans have three Monday night games throughout the regular season but will also enjoy four Friday night games and three Saturday night games, including the traditional NYE fixture on Saturday 31 December hosting Adelaide.
Two family-friendly fixtures will be available on Sunday afternoons (23 October, 8 January) with the remaining two home games falling on a Tuesday and Wednesday during the school holidays.
As usual, the Taipans will play 14 home and 14 away games throughout the regular season, with the popular Open Air Game also confirmed for when the Taipans visit United on 23 December as well as a return to New Zealand on 15 January.
Taipans memberships are available now (in-store or online) and single-game tickets will be available at the end of September.
