Schedule Changes: 1 - 6

In changes to the NBL schedule announced this morning, the CQUniversity Cairns Taipans will now play their first home game of the season on Saturday 11 December. The Taipans will host the Tasmania JackJumpers for the franchise’s first-ever road game, in their long-awaited return to the Cairns Convention Centre.

The schedule changes will see the Taipans begin their 2021-22 campaign in Perth, against the Wildcats on Sunday 5 December – the weekend following the NBL Blitz in Tasmania.

While there are further changes from Rounds 1 – 6, all the other December home fixtures remain the same, except New Year’s Eve will feature the New Zealand Breakers as opponents.

The home game originally scheduled for 4 December has been moved to Saturday 8 January 2022 at the Cairns Convention Centre.
