The CQUniversity Cairns Taipans announced on Wednesday that Scott Machado will be side-lined for up to 4-6 weeks, with scans revealing an irritation to the base of his Achilles tendon. The point guard will need a period of rest and rehabilitation for a full recovery and is expected to return by the end of January.
Development player Brayden Inger missed the Taipans' home opener last week after rolling his ankle, but his tendon injury is healing as expected. He will continue to sit out in Round Three but will likely suit up for the New Yearβs Eve game in Cairns.
