The Kenfrost Homes Cairns Taipans welcome Brody Nunn to Far North Queensland as a development player on a two-year deal, second year mutual option. The 23-year-old has spent the last two years as a DP in Tasmania, where he made 13 appearances as a JackJumper.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Nunn represented Victoria at the 2020 U20 National Championships and averaged 11.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists. He finished the event ranked fourth for scoring and 63 per cent from the perimeter, which stood as an all-time tournament record for six years.
The guard spent time at Sandringham’s junior program and made his NBL1 South debut in 2021, playing five games as a Sabre before heading to Seattle University. He played 10 games for the Division I school, scoring 11 points (three triples) in 16 minutes on debut.
Nunn returned home to join the reigning NBL1 South Champions Knox in 2024 to play alongside brother Bailey and work under coach and father Matt, finishing the season ranked third for perimeter shooting percentage at 43.8% (for 50 attempts or more).
Signing with the JackJumpers as a development player for the 2024-25 NBL season, Nunn continued to develop in both programs over the next two years, including in Knox’s 2025 NBL1 South Finals run.
Averaging 12.6 points, 5.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.1 steals throughout the Raider’s recent 2026 campaign, Nunn now joins Luca Yates and Lloyd McVeigh on the 2026-27 Taipans development squad.
