CQUniversity Cairns Taipans guards Bul Kuol and Tahjere McCall will not suit up for the NBL Pre-Season Blitz, however both are expected to return for the team’s first game of the 2023-24 NBL season.
Kuol injured his left wrist in a scrimmage throughout the off-season and continues to rehab the fracture. Taipans development player Kian Dennis will suit up in his place.
McCall sustained bruising at training this week, injuring his right hip. He will be replaced by DP Alex Mudronja for the duration of the Blitz. McCall is also set to take on head coaching duties for Sunday’s game against the Perth Wildcats.

Wednesday 20 September, 1:00pm (vs South East Melbourne)
Friday 22 September, 5:00pm (vs Illawarra)
The Taipans will start the season on September 30, in New Zealand.
