HoopsFest 2027 to remain in Perth

The Kenfrost Homes Cairns Taipans will face Melbourne United on the opening night of HoopsFest in 2026-27, as the basketball bonanza returns to Perth for a third consecutive year.

Entering its third season as part of the NBL, HoopsFest will once more return to Perth for the 2026-27 season with the Kenfrost Homes Cairns Taipans facing Melbourne United on the opening night.

Retaining its January time slot, the basketball bonanza will see all 19 NBL and WNBL teams descend into Western Australia with the event expanded to five days.

Featuring back-to-back NBL and WNBL regular season games at RAC Arena every day, the festival will be joined by Sneakerland, the free Bounce Nation Fan Zone, community clinics, grassroot activations and open training sessions.
