The CQUniversity Cairns Taipans' home game against the New Zealand Breakers this Sunday will be postponed, due to the league’s health and safety protocols. This is the fourth consecutive game in Cairns that will be rescheduled later this season.
While the Taipans have recently been impacted by positive COVID cases, the team returned to full training this week and were prepared to host the Breakers this Sunday.
The Taipans last played on 31 December, however, they will still suit up in Round 8 and leave for Melbourne on Monday.
The Taipans play the South East Melbourne Phoenix in Traralgon on Tuesday at 6:30pm, before hosting the Illawarra Hawks on Saturday 29 January at the Cairns Convention Centre, 4:30pm.
