Played for the New Zealand Breakers in their inaugural season. Jones is noted for his vast experience and world-class shooting ability. Jones won the 2008-09 Best Sixth Man award, nailing 42.4% of his 3-pointers (fourth best in the NBL) and delivering an impressive 14.7 points per game. Since making his NZ NBL debut for Nelson in 1993 the left-hander has won NBL titles with the Giants in 1994 and 1998 and was named the Kiwi MVP in 1996, 1998 and 2001. Now officially retired from the Tall Blacks, he had been one of New Zealand’s leading scorers since his 1994 debut. His 21 points per game made him the second best scorer at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens (topping NBA stars Yao Ming and Manu Ginobili). His FIBA World Championship experience in Indianapolis (2002) and Japan (2006) has been supported by European experience in Finland and Italy, including four seasons with Cantu in Italy.
